Compassion in Jesus's Name

Compared to most of the rest of the world, the average American is rich. The problem is we're not very good at being rich. Paul told the young pastor Timothy "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." The people "who are rich in this present world"--that's us. We want to practice being good at being rich so that when we stand before God and give an account of how we used all of His blessings, He will say to us "Well done."
