Solomon was called by God to be king, visited by God on two separate occasions, and given specific instructions on how to be successful. His reign started with such promise and ended with such disappointment. The problem? Solomon was a great starter, but a horrible finisher. We are going to spend the next four weeks learning lessons from his life so that we will not end up like he did. God always keeps his promises to bless the obedient and to discipline the disobedient.
